An extremely attractive and rare white gold mono-pusher chronograph wristwatch of the famous brand Cartier, founded in 1847. Estimated production period: 2000–2008. Case made of 18k white gold, dimensions 43x34mm (with lugs), thickness 10mm, octagonal crown serving to start, stop and reset the chronograph, sapphire caseback. Silvered dial with ‘lotus’ guilloche relief pattern, recessed (sunken) sub-dials with fine circular grooves, blued steel Breguet-style hour and minute hands. Hand-wound caliber 045 MC, power reserve up to 40 hours. Functions – indication of time in hours and minutes, small seconds hand, monopusher chronograph with central seconds hand and 30-minute counter. Cartier black leather strap, Cartier white gold double deployment clasp.
The Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir Ref. 2396 caliber 045MC Mk2 ‘Unnumbered’ watch would appear to be an excellent purchase for the collector who wishes to obtain a mechanical single-pusher chronograph wristwatch of a legendary and historically important classic design from a world-famous watch brand, one of the market leaders in haute horlogerie and complicated timepieces. The undoubted advantage of the present lot is the combination of the outstanding features of the attractive and rare hand-wound caliber 045MC of the higher-level execution type, Mk2, and a very rare ‘unnumbered mainplate’ feature.

Our pre-owned and vintage watches, unless stated otherwise, are covered by a full or a limited twenty-four month warranty. For example, due to their age, some vintage watches should not be subjected to the same conditions as when they were new.
